Pop Up Portraits at #Blow
Last month I had the pleasure of taking my 'Pop Up Portraits' event to #BLOW which I jumped at the chance to do as love the fun colourful vibes this salon promotes and thought my drawings matched that perfectly! I created a funky poster to promote the event with hairdryers shooting out rainbows and designed some custom made borders for the day with flowers to match their fabulous floral peace sign wall art they have in store as well as adding some super cute illustrations of hair brushes, dryers and Manic Panic colourful hair dye as they are known for using that often in the salon.
I had so much fun drawing some super lovely ladies who had just had their hair done that day in the salon while they sipped away at a cocktail and even managed to draw some of the staff too.
I currently have a selection of A4 prints for sale in the salon and of any sold 50% of the profits will be donated to Glasgow Women's Aid
. I also had a collection jar on the day for the same cause so just waiting until the end of this month to tot up the total and get that donated in time for Christmas.
#BLOW are planning to have a different woman artist feature every month from now on in the salon and I was so chuffed to be the first one to give it a bash. It was a superb wee day filled with colour, fun and laughs and also for a good cause!
